The monastery is situated in a peaceful and serene location of Pharping, Dakshinkali Municipality, a place in the southern west of Kathmandu Metropolis. This is the place blessed with the grace of Hyanglesyo former Buddha & Bodhisatwas etc. This is the place graced with the kindness and compassion of Guru Padmasambhava, who through his rigid practice of vajrakilaya held power over all deities, demons, yakshas, snake, gods and goddess, evil spirits, and bound them all with his Tantric and Mantric power. And moreover, this is a place characterized by the accomplished Dorjee Thodengchal, earning his name with reverence as Guru Vajra Mundadhari - a holy region on a high hilltop. This Monastery is just a kilometer away from Asura Cave, towards the north, adjoined by Talku Humane motorway.
Peace and Enlightenment
This meditation centre was established in 1995 A.D. by H.E. Khenpo Sange Rangjung Rinpoche as per the direction of honourable Dharma Guru H.H. Penor Rinpoche.
Step through our doors and leave the stresses of the outside world behind. Here, amidst the calming ambiance of our sacred space, you'll find respite from the noise and chaos of modern life.
On the right of this Monastery lies a set of The Eight Great Stupas that all devotees as well as those adopting monkhood can pay a visit. These stupas were established in 2018 A.D. January; the month of five element, bird Year whereas the construction had begun in the year 2017 A.D. March; the month of fire element, Monkey Year.
Honorable Khenpo, following the guidelines of His Holiness Emperor Wish Accomplished Guru, executed his responsibilities in line with higher education acts. Finally, in the year of 1994 (Wood Dog Year), on 13th of the first month as per the Lunar Calendar, he was enthroned as the Khenpo by the highly eminent scholar Guru, emperor Penor Rinpoche on the auspicious occasion of the Sutra and Tantra governed system.
The relief and help rendering to various monasteries in co-ordination with Nepal Nyingma Federation and Palyul Federation in order to restore the renovation of the earthquake affected infrastructure.
The religious scripts containing the wise sayings of scholars from India and Tibet are also on this floor.
