The opening ceremony began with traditional Buddhist prayers and auspicious rituals, seeking blessings for the successful operation of the pharmacy and its continued benefit to the community. The presence and blessings of H.E. Khenrinpoche Sange Rangjung Rinpoche added great significance and spiritual importance to the occasion.

Palyul Pharmacy has been established with the aspiration of providing accessible and reliable pharmaceutical services to the local community. The initiative reflects the broader commitment of the Palyul community to compassionate service and the welfare of society.

Addressing the gathering, respected guests and members of the Sangha expressed their appreciation for the establishment of the pharmacy and highlighted the importance of serving the community with compassion, integrity, and responsibility.

On Sunday, August 30, 2026, all the Khenpos, teachers, and Sangha members of Nyingma Palyul Urgen Dorjee Chholing Monastery gathered to offer prayers and dedicate merits for those who tragically lost their lives suddenly due to the recent floods and landslides in Rasuwa, Nepal.

Three dedicated prayers were recited for the deceased, wishing them a peaceful journey and favorable rebirth in blissful land of Buddha Amitabha.

Official Acceptance of the Summer Retreat (Yarne)

On 30 July 2026, corresponding to Buddhist Era 2570, Tibetan Royal Year 2153, and the 16th day of the sixth Tibetan lunar month (Fire Male Horse Year), at 5:30 a.m., the formal Summer Retreat (Yarne) acceptance ceremony was held at the Main Assembly Hall of Nyingma Palyul Urgen Dorjee Chholing Monastery.

The Sangha first performed prostrations, recited the sutra invocations, and completed the preliminary rituals. Thereafter, under the leadership of the Yarne Khenpo, 88 fully ordained monks (bhikshus) and 147 novice monks (śrāmaṇeras)—a total of 235 monastics—formally undertook the commitment to observe the first three-month Summer Retreat (Yarne).

On July 29, 2026 (15th day of the sixth Tibetan lunar month), at 5:45 a.m., at the main assembly hall of Palyul Urgyen Dorje Chöling Monastery, the Sangha, under the leadership of the Yarne (Summer Retreat) Khenpo, Khenpo Phurpa, completed the 15th-day Sojong (Purification and Restoration of Vows) ceremony.

Following the Sojong, the Khenpo conducted the preliminary rites for formally entering the Yarne (Summer Retreat). In accordance with the Vinaya tradition and for the well-being and harmonious practice of the monastic community, the following ceremonies were carried out:

* Establishing the retreat boundaries (minor boundary).

* Appointing the monk responsible for accommodation and residence.

* Recitation of the Yarne disciplinary rules by the retreat supervisor.

* Distribution of the voting sticks (tsul shing).

* Allocation of seats.

* Recitation of the regulations concerning seating arrangements.

* Blessing of the retreat quarters.

All of these rituals were performed in accordance with the ritual manual of the Three Fundamental Monastic Procedures (Zhi Sum Choga) composed by His Holiness the Second Drubwang, Thubten Chökyi Langpo.

सोजोङ सम्पन्न भएपछि, औपचारिक रूपमा यार्ने (वर्षावास) प्रारम्भ गर्न आवश्यक पूर्वविधिहरू सम्पन्न गरिए। भिक्षु सङ्घको सुख, सद्भाव र विनय अनुशासनको पालनाका लागि निम्न कार्यहरू विधिपूर्वक सम्पन्न गरिएः

* वर्षावासको सानो सीमा (मठको परिधि) निर्धारण।

* बसोबास तथा आवास व्यवस्थापनको जिम्मेवारी तोक्ने।

* वर्षावासका नियमहरूको औपचारिक वाचन।

* मतदानका काठका छडी (छुलशिङ) वितरण।

* आसन (गद्दी) को व्यवस्था तथा बाँडफाँट।

* आसनसम्बन्धी विनय नियमहरूको वाचन।

* वर्षावासका कक्षहरूको आशीर्वाद।

यी सम्पूर्ण विधिहरू दोस्रो द्रुबवाङ थुब्तेन छोकी लाङ्पोद्वारा रचित “आधारभूत तीन मठीय विधि” (Zhi Sum Choga) मा वर्णित विनय परम्परा र विधिअनुसार सम्पन्न गरिएका हुन्।
